Default A quilt I did for my son Don & some words in my head that I post

Before this quilt, I was playing around with another pattern. I wasn't crazy about what I was doing. The pattern for my son's quilt, I eventually thru out. The next day, I dug it out of the trash, and automatically started cutting pieces. My son wanted a quilt in grays & maroon/red. To the story of the words in my head. I kept asking my self why and swearing in my mind. The reason for this is of the y-seams. There just wasn't 1 y there was 4. After doing 3/4th's of the y's, I eventually figured out how to do them, more accurately. The pattern is called Endless Chain, by Jinny Beyer. jinnybeyer.com. Take care everyone Don-isewman The 3rd picture is of the 1'' red strip I put around the drk gray. Didn't know if you could see it around the quilt. Click image for larger version.

What tips do you have for us regarding those "Y" seams? Your quilt is really pretty, Don.

I love that pattern. I need it! As for y seams, accuracy is the trick, in seam width AND stopping and turning points. Mark those latter carefully and you will never have a problem with them.

Your quilt is fantastic!! Guess I am the odd man out.....I like doing Y seams! Maybe because one of the first quilts I did had them.
