Default Which FMQ pattern to use

I am new to the forum and also fairly new to FMQ. I am looking for suggestions on which pattern of FMQ to use for this Ohio Star quilt. It is for a wedding gift that must be completed by June 4th. Thank you in advance for your suggestions.Click image for larger version.

Very nice! If it was me and I needed it fairly quickly - I would do a meander. Are you doing this on your DM?

I agree, quick calls for a large meander. It is also very forgiving. Lovely quilt.

I agree - open meander will make this pop. Your quilt is beautiful and looks to be perfect stitching from where I am sitting....I really like the blue/white combo. Be sure to post the finished quilt - too bad you can't just give as-is...ha ha...it is SO pretty! What color thread are you going to use?

I was thinking of using white to match the background so the stars pop out.

There is a block created in your pattern that is mostly white with a small square in the center. I would make a fancy medallion in these sections and then starburst the Ohio star. You have three weeks which should be plenty of time. This would be great practice for your craft. A light blue verigated thread or a white thread would look lovely. Have fun with it whatever you decide.

I would do either stitch in the ditch or an outline around the stars and meander on just the white.

SITD will take much longer to quilt than a meander or other design. You didn't mention what color the backing fabric is. Superior's King Tut "Morning Sky" is an almost white thread, but has a hint of blue in it. That might work for the quilting thread color. It's a beautiful quilt.
