    Default Cutting machines

My local quilt shop sells Silhouette machines and I have looked on line at Accu-Quilt. Does anyone use one of these machines or something similar? If they would help me cut a little more accurately that would be a big bonus!

If what you want to do is cut fabric for piecing, then the AccuQuilt is the way to go. It is specifically designed for cutting fabric for piecing or applique. The silhoutte requires that fabric be treated with a stabilizer before cutting. This would make for good applique pieces.

I have the Accu-Quilt GO and I love it. The 1st time I used it I could immediately see a major improvement in my work.

I have both. I do some paper crafting and never did like the set dies like the Sizzix, I bought a die cutter that would work from anything I drew.
It also writes with a pen and draws.

The only use I have for it for fabric is appliques. I can draw what I want.

For cutting loads of squares, strips, whatever for a quilt, the Accuquilt and the Sizzix are the way to go.

The cutting machines are definitely accurate, but expensive.

I just went to the acuquilt site and they are sending me a book of 72 patterns for free. I don't own an acuquilt cutter so likely won't be able to use it but will be interesting to see what they send me. lol.

I have the Accuquilt Studio & love it. Haven't bought any shapes like heart, owl etc but would for future shapes if price was good.
