    My husband's grandmother, Elnora Carter Foote, was a very gifted quilter. DH says he has fond memories of her and "all the old gals" sitting around a quilting frame, hand quilting. This first picture is one of her quilts. We found it last autumn in Jim's dad's sheep camp trailer. We rescued it! It's reached a point where it can never be used as a quilt again. But it can be displayed. And used as inspiration.

    On the left is my "test blocK" I made after figuring out templates. The plan is to arrange the new blocks into groups of 4, like a flower, I plan to snowball the inside corner of each block with a little yellow to make a center to the flower. Will likely sash with a gray-green

    Here are the colors I plan to use.
    If you can't see it from 50 yards away on a galloping horse, it doesn't matter.

    It sounds like it will be a beautiful quilt! I love the colors you chose,they're so vibrant.
