I love your fabric choices, but I am a little confused with all your thread colors?

I know! With the Crazy Shortcuts Quilt method you quilt-as-you-go and use all the decorative stitches on your machine with different coloured threads! The more the better they say! So I picked a pattern calling for 9 different fat quarters and 6 different threads! I'm so excited to do it but nervous too as it will all be new. They swear it's easy! The thread alone cost me $41.94 and $52.43 for the f.q. - $158.04 in total with backing, sashing, binding, batting and tax!

Are you ever going to have fun. I'm a crazy quilt person 90% of the time. That's just my personality and I love doing it that way.

Have fun, have fun, have fun!

I love those color choices. I've been thinking of doing a quilt like that in batiks.

I am working on one of these at the moment but simplifying it a little. I am only using one thread colour to quilt it and one decorative stitch. It's all in purples and greys that I bought as a bundle fairly cheap. I thought I would try the technique on a cheaper and simpler scale first to see if I liked it and to iron out any kinks.

It looks like a lot of fun and your fabrics are gorgeous. Please make sure you post a pic when you've completed your quilt.
