I am looking for the best deal in this iron. MQC offers the silver Panasonic a bit cheaper than the other colors. I guess I should look very carefully and make sure it is the same one. My Bernina 1530 is going to the dealer this week to get a goo tune-up after laying idle for about 15 years. I am feeling so happy to be back sewing again. I am like a beginner, but skills are coming back quickly.

My silver cordless Panasonic 360 arrived today. The first thing I noticed is that you cannot sit it up when ironing. Do you always put it back in the base when you are ironing but just need to make an adjustment with two hands?

I love my cordless Panasonic 360, but no, I do not put it back in the base every time. If I just need to make a quick adjustment where I need two hands I put the iron on this silicon resting base.

The silicon resting base is a separate item I purchased. It does not come with the cordless iron.

Lucky you!!! How long can you iron with it before you need to park it again to reheat?

Re: Panasonic CORDLESS Iron! Woot! Woot!

I can iron quite a long time when I'm ironing all of my string pieced sections.
Also, even after I turn OFF the iron and remember that I still have something to press, I'll lift it off and use it without even re-charging it and it's still hot enough to press flat.

Sheep Farmer, that's a good point. I love my Oliso iron, but I can't do that. Once unplugged, even though the iron is still hot, it doesn't sit flat to iron. I do miss being able to do a quick touch up or press.

I will buy the Panasonic if I ever get a cordless iron. Many of our forum members LOVE theirs.

I purchased a teal one from the shopping channel. Like mine too, especially when pressing out the full length of uncut fabric (the cord always got in the way with a normal iron). But having to put it back on the charger for a minute to get the button to read red (ready) again, is a stall in ironing. All the same I like it for pressing yardage, or use while piecing. I haven't tried ironing clothing with it yet.

Yes, mine cools down pretty quickly too, then back on the base it goes to reheat. And then wait for the red light to say iron again. I have to put my ironing board next to a granite tabletop for the iron base, so I can keep putting the iron back on the charger. It would be nice if it had a heel to stand back up on like a typical iron. I don't see the purpose of the double point other than one tip goes into the charging base.
