Fun, quick & easy to make...until the snipping (no thank you!) and the linty mess in the washer & dryer (double no thank you!!)
Turned out cute though. Flannel back of sharks & Blues. Paw Patrol & Navy fabric on front. All 7 inch squares.
Matching Lovie to take with him to daycare too!

Fab idea for the smaller one to carry along. My kids when little went nowhere without a blankie.

Very nice quilt. The lovie is a great idea. Fiskar produces scissors specifically for rag quilt cutting. Those who have used these scissors have been pleased with them.

I've been told the snipping and lint are the worst things about those rag quilts. Several friends who make them take them to a Laundromat to do the washing/drying so it doesn't get in theirs at home!

They are a pain in the hand, but turn out very soft and cute for kids. I bought one of those snap back shears to do the clipping, it is still laborious but easier on the hand. Not perfect, but better!

    Very pretty rag quilt!

I love rag quilts (both making them and using them!) The key is to use the rag snips made specially for rag quilting - I bought mine at Joann's and they are made by Fiskar. Made the snipping MUCH easier and quicker. I knew they would be linty in the dryer, so that wasn't a problem for me. Yours is very nice!!

Love your quilt. Have to agree I made 1 and never again. I do have the special scissor and its still so much snipping and washing and lint. I agree NO THANK YOU!

The snipping is the hardest part of making rag quilts. I can only clip about an hour at a time. I use the Fiskars snips and I agree that they help, but it's still a pain in the hand, especially if you have arthritis.

I have never made a rag quilt but it was on my list. I am scratching it off right now before I forget.

Love your quilt, I'm sure he will love it too.
You have talked me out of making one.
