    Default Newbie from Alabama

Hello I have been sewing all my life but very new to quilting. I very much like piecing the quilt tops it is
very addictive!!! I have not tried quilting yet that seems like it would be very hard to do on a regular machine.
who knows I might get brave enough to try. I love Missouri Star Quilt Company and feel like I know Jenny,
would love to visit Hamilton Missouri someday.

Hello and welcome from California!! Quilting is not as hard as you might think on a regular machine. It's really the amount of space you have from the needle to the right side of the machine - that limits the size of the quilt you can do. Some people get around that by doing QAYG - quilt as you go. It's my understanding that Craftsy has classes on that. I haven't been quilting very long so I'm sure someone else will have more/better info on this subject.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Don't be afraid to try quilting on a regular machine. It can be done with a walking foot or free motion quilting. A lot of us quilt on our domestic machines. Craftyjnet is right....Craftsy has some great classes on using a walking foot and classes on FMQ.

    Glad you joined us.

Hello and welcome from Tennessee. I am still a newbie myself and I quilted the first 6 or 7 quilts I did on my domestic sewing machine. I now use a frame. Craftsy has some great classes about quilting on a domestic machine.
