    Default newbie

I am so new I am not even sure this is the right place to post. I am not new to quilting, but am a new HQ Avante owner. I am having a ball and am confused at the same time. I have a chrome box in my sewing room and can play the Jenny tutorials and the HQ tutorials as I sew or quilt. I love it. I have a wireless keyboard and can sit at the sewing machine and choose the tutorials i want to hear or just let them roll. It is wonderful to have Jenny in my room as I sew.

I am a SABLE. (Stash Accumulation Beyond Life Expectancy) I am a retired nurse so I can just about do what ever I want, I have no family connections, I live 15 miles from The KY border in N Eastern TN just about 15 mi from the Virginia border. The Cumberland Gap is about 15 miles from here. I live 2.5 minutes from the nearest fabric shop down hill.

I have 3 weenie dogs who lay beneath my sewing machine and the quilter on what I am trying to sew, so I had to put beds there to keep them off my things.
Sorry, I got carried away. katie

Welcome! It sounds like you live in a beautiful part of the country, and what better companions could you have than three weenie dogs?

Hello and welcome to the forum from Illinois. Pets are a BIG part of our lives, so why not have them share the sewing room.

Wishing all a happy and healthy 2016.
