New Male Member

Howdy from Utah!

I am Grampz! (Darryl) I am 53 years old will be 54 in February. I am a happily married man for over 20 years. I was in the US Air Force for over 23 years. I have 3 children 35,31,13. I have 4 grandchildren 2 boys 2 girls.

I started quilting many years ago when I asked my wife to make a quilt. she said I don't like to do that. I must of bugged her for weeks. She finally said "You want one so darn bad then you do it!" lol So I said fine show me how to sew. The rest as they say is history. My machine broke down. I went for years without quilting. However recently I have suffered PTSD attacks. My therapist suggested I get a hobby. Guess what I started doing again. lol

I just recently joined a guild here where I live. I am their first male member. One of the members told me that her husband quilts but keeps it hush hush. She is going to encourage him to come and meet me. I guess I am a trend setter! lol

I hope I'm able to meet other male quilters on here and also make tons of quilting friends male and female and get tons of advice
