    Default Phoebe's Flower Box

Do you think this quilt would look good with light fabrics?
I have some old pieces in my stash that are pretty. I'd like to make something out of them, but they're all light to medium colors. No darks at all.
All the pictures I've seen of this quilt are made with striking colors, and they ended up beautiful. I'm having a hard time visualizing it with only lighter colors. They're pinks, greens, and yellows by the way.

Mine was mostly lighter fabrics, not pastels, but not dark, except for the one purple.

I think it would look good in any colors as long as they coordinate with each other.

I made one with lighter batiks. I'm sure yours will turn out fine.

Mine were even lighter, soft baby prints.

All of these are so pretty! I love this pattern, and how totally different it looks depending on the fabric and sashing chosen.

I did this one with a pastel Tonga Treats pack of strips. I was afraid it would be too light, but loved the final result.

Beautiful quilts. I am making this quilt now with The Lady Slipper Lodge jelly roll. Question: My blocks of 4 are not 6 1/2 inches they are 6 1/4 - 6 1/2. I'm cutting the 1 1/2 border to go on the long side but what should I do cut the 1 1/2 inches strips 6 1/2 per the pattern and even up my block later or trim my blocks so they are all 6 1/4 then cut my 1 1/2 strips 6 1/4? Any suggestions would be helpful.
    Lisa
