Default It's 2016 already - Happy New Year!

Happy new year to everybody from Germany! May you all be happy and healthy and the coming year be filled with love and joy. I'm looking forward to another year with all of you.

We already greeted the new year two hours ago with fireworks. (Actually I watched it from a safe distance...)

HAPPY NEW YEAR ANDREA to you and your family, Your town's New Year's Eve fireworks light up the sky so beautifully.

No fireworks in our area last night but today, January 1, we had plenty of flashing lights lighting up the sky on our street. Local volunteer fire station choose it's new chief today and he just happens to live down the street from us. There were about 8 or 9 big yellow fire trucks with all their lights flashing while several firemen used their old fashion red pumper truck to hose down the new Chief's house. A big crowd was on the sidelines watching the fire department's traditional ceremony to welcome its new chief.
