    Default Need an iron

Well, I should have been paying more attention on the iron discussions. I have/had a reliable velocity. I've loved it. But, it just died. I would think it would have made it longer than two years, but it didn't.

So, with that being said. If you were buying a new one what would you buy? I've thought about the cordless Panasonic. I know some at the retreat liked it.

    Thanks for the help
I'm back to my black and decker that spits at me. But at least it gets hot. Lol

That's sad, with a name like Reliable! I was looking at those but it was a little pricey and big for me. Have you emailed them? Two years seems like a short life.

Panasonic should hire me as a sales rep. I love mine. I did get it for $65 + tax, that's about the lowest, look for sales, Massdrop.

It's in its own heat resistant case, perfect for retreats, storage, being able to pack it away immediately is very nice. My ironing board is on the back of a door; I can't leave the iron to cool there so it's nice to have the caddy I can move immediately. It's light, and sized for a woman's hand. Retractable cord. There is just nothing I don't like.

I used my old 80s Black and Decker for fusible this week, I saved it for that purpose. Yes it works great. But oh I hated having the cord in my way! I couldn't just iron the other way like my Panasonic, I had to turn the iron around, I couldn't switch hands and missed that ultra mobility of the Panasonic. It was heavy, heavy, heavy, and I have strength issues , so I was just really feeling blessed that I was able to replace it with something so much more functional.

And I got a vinyl removable decal for mine, I plan to get more and just have fun.

Love the fact that when I am done I can retract the cord and cover it up, especially with 3 new curious kittens in house!

I'm really interested in the Iron, if Satna doesn't bring me one, after Christmas , I may hunt me one.

I, too, am keeping an eye out for a good deal on a Panasonic cordless iron.

This, however, is obviously NOT a good deal!

What is the advantage of the 360 over the turquoise one
