Question quilt as you go Pro and Con

This has probably been asked before, but I have 24 hand appliqued blocks and wonder the pros and cons of just doing a block at a time rather than put the whole thing together first. I have RA and can hardly handle hand quilting a large quilt, but the individual blocks may be what I am looking at. any suggestions help etc.

I don't see any con's.There's a few ways to do it.

Try a couple of plain squares and see if you like it.

I agree - it's far easier to deal with. I also have hand trouble and it saves a lot of wear and tear. Also not a lot of room.

If you want to quilt edge to edge to make sure that stitches are hidden and covered by a seam - just baste a dummy strip of scrap to all 4 sides. You can quilt "off the block" to make sure that stitches are covered by a seam.

If you do columns first when assembling, you only have the current column under the needle when combining blocks.

Quilt as you go, you quilt each piece as you add
a piece to your block, because you have your sandwich
To quilt as you stitch. Your appliqué blocks are
already pieced. I'm not sure how you can
