Broken Tumbler
I LOVE this quilt by Kristyn24!!
You call it Broken Tumbler and say you found the design online but I have looked and looked and cannot find a similar pattern with the sashing in between the rows. I have made 2 quilts with the MSQ 5" tumbler template but not one with the sashing in between. Can you point me to where you found the pattern? Or could this be an idea for a new MSQ tutorial????
Thanks - jness

Re: Broken Tumbler
It appears t just be the tumbler sashed with 1.5" inch strips on 2 sides. You should be able to make it without a pattern.

Re: Broken Tumbler
It looks like sashing on either side of the tumbler to me. Someone else may have a different opinion or method.
OOPS Karen, I guess I was viewing at the same time as you were responding. LOL!!

Re: Broken Tumbler
Hope I'm not sticking my nose into something I shouldn't, but it seems to me the tumblers would only have the white strips on one side. Tumbler, white strip, tumbler, white strip if that makes sense. Putting the strips on both sides would make a really wide space between the tumblers. Am I over thinking that?

That's really nice. It reminds me of rippling water.

I think you're right about the white strips just being on one side. Would you piece the rows vertically then? Also when adding the white sashing would you extend the sashing beyond tumbler edges and then trim even??
