Just go about it backwards. If you have 1.5 yards of fabric [for instance] and you need 7 strips then divide 54 by 7 and that is how wide you can cut each strip. Or you can adjust by the size that you want your border. You just need to know how big a border you can make based on the fabric amount you already have.
I rarely use the dimensions on a pattern for a border, I make borders based on how much fabric I have to be the border. Some are bigger some are smaller.

I just use the RJR fabric app.... it figures it fast and accurate. I always buy a bit extra.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm really bad at quilting math. And that RJR fabric app is a lifesaver!

FYI, I found the magazine yesterday. It was tucked safely in a binder.
It's all fun and games until the bobbin runs out.

Glad you got the help you needed! After I have cleaned something up, I often ask myself why I bothered to clean because I can't find anything and when it was a mess, I knew just where it was! LOL! I'm sure it will show up in the most random of places! Good luck!

I have been looking for a pair of thread snips for weeks, I have several pair but they all have their place to be and one went missing.
I went to retreat, came home unpacked and was puttering around in my workshop when all of a sudden it was in my hand, where had it been???? Who knows but I was glad it decided to come back home.
