    Default Scrappy fourpatch star

I finished this quilt today. Made it for a coworker who broke up with her husband after 30 years and moved into her own apartment... I desided in this situation she must have a quilt to cheer her up and warm her in the evenings.

I joined a craftsy class from Angela Waters about FMQ and I have tried some of her patterns, It didn't came out perfect, but I am happy with the result. It is the biggest quilt I ever made (it is my fifths) and to manage that I joined the craftsy class "quilting big projects on a small machine" with Ann Petersen, that was very helpful. But now I am happy to get my living room back
Some people think I have gone crazy because I can't stop making quilts since I started 6 month ago, they may be right, but what can I do, my inner quilter has taken over control!
Thanks for looking and greetings from the Oktoberfest 

Uli, that turned out gorgeous, and what a wonderful, loving gesture for a friend in need! Don't feel like the Lone Stranger when it comes to quilting, LOL, we are ALL that way, it's a good thing!

Your quilt is so beautiful! Your friend will probably cry when you give it to her but she will absolutely treasure it.

This is one of the most beautiful quilts EVER,,, in my eyes...
the scrappy look, the wonderful adventure in FMQ , the special reason for making it and the fact that you have found the true meaning of quilting , (IMHO).... I too just can't seem to stop making quilts and have no intention of trying... those that don't understand usually do not have hobbies...LOL,,, I believe it's a "passion" for me and keeps me sane and grounded...)

How lovely your quilt turned out. And I am sure your friend will instantly recognize the love and concern that drove this creation. I would have never known you were new at FMQ. It's gorgeous!
