I can see the diagonal line you added to sew on . . . are the markings 1) above the diagonal and 2) to the right of the diagonal?
    thanks so much!

I registered specifically to say *thank you* for these instructions! I have just begun quilting, and used this method today on the second quilt that I've made. It worked flawlessly and the binding looks wonderful. Thank you again for taking the time to post these in such detail! I found this forum by happy accident, was just browsing around after someone I met in a fabric store recommended this website as a place a friend purchases fabric. Now that's serendipity.

Great tutorial and easy to follow. I do something very similar I learned from a Craftsy class but this will make it even easier. Thanks for taking the time to put this together and share with us.

Monique - thanks so much for adding the enhanced picture - NOW I get it and cant wait to try. I made a set of 6 placements a little while back and used the binding tool with mixed results so I think your method will work better!

Monique...Thanks for adding darker lines to the pic in my tutorial. I hadn't been around for a while shortly after I posted this and I didn't realize how many people had commented on the post or the request to darken the lines. I'm so glad that it was helpful to so many people. That's what this forum is all about. Happy Binding!

    Try this...
copy the internet address at the top of the page.
Go to your profile page (where it shows your albums and the groups you are in).
Click on notes at the left of the page.
Click on "new user note". It will open up a window that looks like the one when you post a thread. Then click on the "link" icon and paste the page address into the link box.
Once you are done with your note, click the "submit it" button.

You should be able to go back any time and click on "notes" to find it.

I've only done that once so I hope I have told you right. Hopefully someone will correct me if it isn't.
