Default Need ideas for wedding gift quilt

Oh boy - they set the date. Jan 16! That opened a whole can of worms in the family - but I'm okay with whenever and wherever they get married.

I need ideas for a quilt pattern. The colors are Black and White with red. Can I see some that y'all have done? I have a very vague idea of what I want, but can't seem to find any pictures that trip my trigger.

I'd appreciate suggestions for pre-cuts, too.

I've seen some made that way - I'm a little leery of "Disappearing" anything in a wedding quilt - call me superstitious...

Well here is one of Jenny's...the curved log cagin in black, red, gray and white.....it goes really quick, but you would probably have to enlarge the size.....

My mom recently made this quilt top using the equivalent of two jelly rolls. It's about 60" x 80" without any borders. After watching this top come together and seeing how simple the cutting and piecing are, I want to make one of my own. My favorite pre-cut that has the colors mentioned is Windham's "Windsong" line by Huguenot Street.

What about a Dresden Flower Pot Quilt Jenny did one a few months ago....love that

( Being a January Wedding this would remind them of Spring ! )

    Here's another suggestion

You might have to put another color or two in a 4 Patch Frenzy.....but that would make a gorgeous quilt too.

    Here's a Flower Garden w/Sashing I love too....

Actually I am no one to ask.....I love almost every one of Jenny's tutorials......I want to make them ALL !

I love the idea of the black and white log cabin. Supposedly the traditional red center is meant to represent the hearth of the home. I think a curved log cabin from the Block mag would be great. I made one, it works up quickly from a jelly rolls and honey buns. The combo of traditional from the pattern and modern from the colors is great I think. I think there's a tutorial, not sure.

If at first you don't succeed, try doing it the way your mom told you to in the first place
