Well, I only have so many beds so, some are used a lot and the others are stacked. And then when laundry needs doing I pull the "dirty" ones off the bed and put on fresh ones from the stack. I guess I am a rotater.

Except for the vintage ones from my grandmother and great-grandmother, I use them.

I have only made quilts for gifts so far so they are for sure used. My Grandson's is starting to look like and old dishrag. Guess the boy needs a new one.

As for my answer, I am still just beginning my journey of lifelong quilting. So far I have one that I use as a couch blanket, and one two that I gave away. My plan is to have one for every season for my couch blanket. I also have plans on making one for each of my future children to use on their beds. I have every intention of using them.

I am a very proud quilt user. The only stacked quilts are table toppers that wait their turn to be used.

Definitely used and loved.....even the old ones! I found it hard for my kiddos to want to keep family things if they have no memories attached to them, so I use the china, the crystal, the antique quilts.........then when I am gone, they can fight over them all.....instead of selling them at a garage sale for quarters!

When--and if-- I finish a quilt, it is there to be used. My bed quilts are on beds, and my wall hangings are on walls. No stacking allowed unless it's on a blanket rack for people to choose something warm for napping, watching TV, etc.

The two lap quilts I have finished this year (the first ones I have finished after a 20 year break from sewing!) are stacked on my desk chair in our TV room but only because it had been too hot to need them except for the occasional cool morning when my 10 year old son grabbed one to cuddle under while watching cartoons . . . once the weather cools down more they (and their soon to be created brethren) will be used, used and used some more!
