    Question Wonder Tape?

Does anyone use this? The NCW calls for it. I didn't want to pay the $7 so I used Elmers glue with my iron. It worked but was a bit time consuming.

If you have to re-position the edge on the border piece, can you do this with the tape?

Basically, is it worth the cost?

I use school glue. I am too cheap to pay 7 bucks for special tape.

I bought it, and it is good. I didn't remember it being that expensive. I got it from Joann of course on sale or with a coupon. And if you make more than one NCW, It lasts a long time because you don't use much at one time.

I bought it for the NCW and I found it quick and easy.
And sometimes what you need to stay in place is quite fiddly to use glue on, so for me it's kinda like having different sizes of scissors for different projects.

I use glue for bindings. As Jean says it lasts a long time so it's not really costly in the grand scheme of things.

I saw a demonstration using a Steam-A-Seam 2 (1/4" tape) at M* a few days ago, but I did not buy any at the time. I went searching for the product in my local area yesterday, and did not find it. However, I found Wonder Tape and Lite EZ-Steam II. The Wonder Tape was a higher price for a shorter length of tape (only 10 yards), so I went with the Lite EZ-Steam II. I paid just under $6 for 40 yards of tape. Looking on the M* website this morning, the Steam-A-Seam seems to be the best price if you disregard shipping.

I have it and use it, on exactly that spot! There is a lot on that little roll and if you manage to get it on sale, it's not that bad of a price. You are able to adjust, and readjust, until you get that piece right where you want it. I don't know if you'd be able to do that with the Steam a Seam.

I've used it for years. You can reposition several times, only takes just a tiny bit to hold. For me, the best part is that if you're making something that will be washed, it washes completely out.

It isn't a fusible like Steam a Seam, it's a double sided adhesive tape, I can't see that the two are interchangeable.

I use wonder tape to hold zippers in place when I'm making bags. Love the stuff.
