    I vote for a vintage machines from the '50's and no need to trade your other one. You can pick one up from craigslist, thrift shop, ebay or garage sale for anywhere from $10 to $200. A Singer 301 is a great choice as are many others. My favorites are my Morse straight stitch machines (RLP-5?, I think). They will all sew through ANYTHING! I bought the green one with the cabinet for $35.

    I just saw the morse zig zag at a local shop for 55 with a gorgeous case was so hard to leave it there.
    Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without.

    Thanks all for your input. If this was an election the Juki would have a majority win.

    Time to start looking and pricing. New versus used? Also time to stop buying for the stash and redirect funds to machine.
