    Default Straight Talk home system

Was wondering if anyone has this and how does it work for you if you do? We are seriously thinking of converting our landline to this. I don't want to be rid of the landline totally as I do not want the nuisance calls on my cell. But the almost $50.00 we pay a month for a landline is robbery. Thanks all!

I have my landline linked through my Verizon acct. I pay $15 a month for it with unlimited calling and long distance. I have had no problems with it, but I am finally considering getting rid of the landline. DH has been after me to do that for several years

April, at the salon I use straight talk and at home I use basic talk connected to the internet modem. Cheaper to purchase basic talk at Walmart - I think we paid like 10 bucks for it and it is about 12 a month plus tax. Straight talk which I purchased for the salon when I was in a different location, allows you to take it anywhere you go, just plug in outlet; it was pricier at about 100 bucks, which I notice your price is much better purchasing online! Since we had no net connection at old shop location it was still a better choice than paying business phone cost.
I will add that you can get caller id, call blocking, unlimited long distance within the states, etc but the connection can sometimes be iffy for me because of our electrical system thanks to Duke Energy. Considering all the money we have saved, I will take the occasional blips.

Thank you Doloris and Blondie! This has been most helpful. We are not ready to give up the landline yet but $50. a month is robbery.

Is that more than you pay for your cellphone?

We kept our landline so we can call 911 and have them know where we are. We bundled it with our cable company and saved a fortune.
