I have 2 kids (aged 5 and nearly 2). They like to sit on my lap while I'm using the sewing machine and the baby loves to play with the fabric especially when she can scatter it all over the floor....... I'm sure in due course, they'll want to learn properly and I'll be delighted to teach them.

    Congratulations winners!
I'm just learning myself, so no I haven't, but I'm excited to share this new love with my granddaughter!

No but I've taught not so little people how to quilt.

My 5 yr old grandson loves to help when I'm in the sewing room. Right now he just likes to pull scraps and tell me in what order to sew them.

I haven't taught anyone, but did give sewing kits to great nieces for Easter with fabric to sew placemats.

I have never taught anyone to sew. I'm pretty new myself.

Yes, I've been teaching girl scouts (little ones) to sew and knit. It's slow going, but, cross my fingers, someday they'll be happy they learned.

My beautiful grandaughter sat at my machine at age 6 and did her first squares for her first quilt, she was so excited but afraid she would sew her fingers together lol. She is now 15.

I taught my sons the basics of how to use the sewing machine, just like we taught them to cook & clean & do household repairs. None of them ever wanted to try quilting, but they can at least do mending on their clothes... LOL
I didn't have any girls, but now I have one granddaughter. We will be moving closer to the grands next year & I'm looking forward to teaching her to sew among other things.

Taught both my daughters but since they work full-time, they find it easier to 'ask mom' to do it for them.
It's all fun and games until the bobbin runs out.
