crumb blocks

I made my very first crumb blocks ever today, and I love this technique. I can use my wonky orphan blocks, the half square triangles I got from a group exchange, and my smallest scraps to create something incredible. Each block is a work of art, and the creation of each one a joy to partake in. It's almost like each block is telling me what it wants to be, if that makes any sense (I swear I'm not crazy lol)
I am planning on making a full size quilt for my 7 year old daughter. I am hoping to have it done by Christmas. This is what I have so far.

I am just taking a break from working on scrappy string blocks in fall colors. I could make them for days and not get bored - no stress!
