    Default Flowing Flowers

This spiderweb quilt is done entirely (except the blue centers) with floral fabrics. I set it together with Bonnie Hunter's serpentine layout (offset blocks). The backing is a more modern print, but I liked the idea of a different feeling in the back than on the front. It is 64" x 78" and is destined for a cousin of mine.

You've created such a joyful quilt. Love the layout and the fabrics. How do you plan to quilt it?

I'm surprised (may I say that honestly?) I think your backing truly accents the front of the quilt and I don't think, having not seen the pictures, that I could have said that. Beautiful job there!!

Thanks, everyone for the kind words.

Sandy--you are right; the backing shouldn't have worked, but it did! I've been trying new things on the backs (like this one: http://forum.missouriquiltco.com/mem...4-640x527.html) --I'm finding that the surprising ones can work really well.

That is a very beautiful quilt. I really like the pattern and the fabric selections. I'll have to add it to my to do list.
