    Heather. That's the "bottom line" that I've taken from the responses on this thread. No matter the method used to make HSTs, some squaring up will probably be needed. It's a relief to know that I'm in the same boat as everyone else.

    ...and for us OCD types - it's very comforting watching all of the HST's become squared up - worth the time in my opinion

    Songbird857 - I agree. I feel a sense of accomplishment when my HST come out perfect, even if that means that I had to square them for them to be that way!

    I put a piece of flannel on my ironing board and press them. No problem with distortion. I also use the Easy Angle ruler for perfect HST.
