    Default Folklore Layer Cake

I am piecing the Quatrefoil quilt with a Moda Folklore layer cake. Just wanted to share that this layer cake is really, really off. Be sure and carefully check and measure if you use this layer cake. It is the most wonky precut I have ever used. I have had to cut each layer cake piece separately. Some are smaller than 10" and some are larger.

I would appreciate if all of you would share on this forum if you run across a precut that is really cut wonky. If any of us have that precut in our stash we could be aware to be extra careful with that particular precut. I have had to do more work getting this precut straight than any I have worked with.

I used a Folklore Fat Quarter bundle for a True Blue quilt I made.

I found that some of the fat quarters had some selvege in the 18"x22" measurement. I had cut before I noticed, so there are a few of the selvege holes in my quilt. Still beautiful though! I love the line

Love this quilt - the colours are stunning!
Is the pattern just called True Blue and is it one of MSQC's? I can't find it there.

Nope, True Blue is by Carrie Nelson (Miss Rosie's quilts)
    the one on the cover

It's very fun and not that difficult to make

I ordered charm packs months ago Down Town Abby and they were waaaaaay off. I contacted Missouri Star customer service and they replaced them. I now only order yardage and fat quarters.

I find that it goes more by lines... like if the Downton Abbey one pre cut was off, then probably more of the Downton Abbey precuts are off- not neccesarily all fabric by the manufacturer.

I love pre cuts. Even when they are off or have some selvedge in them, I still love working with them. (although I'd rather they were right!)
