    Default CATALINA DD QUILTS

Morning everyone. Has anybody made up there Catalina layer cake yet. Mine is still sitting on my work bench crying to be used. Any ideas for a quilt to make it into. And if you have used it would luv to see what you have made.

I have been staring at mine and wondering how it would look as a "You've Got Mail" quilt. What do you think?

It would look stunning. Its such a vibrant fabric collection. Now you have me thinking CURVED or RIVER LOG CABIN.

I bought it also and was thinking of the "Alter Ego" quilt (found here in the tutes) - four patches and hourglass so the larger designs aren't too cut up. Guess I'll just have to dive in and give it a try but I may wait to see if there are any more suggestions.

I, too, am thinking of ideas to use that beautiful Catalina fabric.
I have a layer cake as well as a charm pack and wanted to use some of the layer cake squares as panels and not cut them up.
    I like this
Butterfly Oasis pattern and am contemplating a scrappy version using my Catalina layer cake squares instead of the butterfly squares.

I also have the layer cake and some yardage. Have not decided on a pattern yet.

    Some excellent ideas here.

Hmm, what about the double slice?

What a wonderful pattern to use to showcase any fabrics you just cannot bring yourself to cut into. Good find . We do not get alot of pre cuts in NZ. And when you do come across them they are far to expensive. You are so lucky. A jellyroll would cost US $65.00.
