Default Well.... I HAVE to do this block!

I have a load of vintage fabrics or I could do it in scraps... But I see a quilt in this in my future!! I don't know what's It's called, nor do I know if there is a pattern. but, It looks to me all you need is the mini periwinkle to start and you can make it.

You can call it Braided periwinkle!

God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The stash to make a quilt to help me cope,
A quilt to give to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear and uncertainty.
And the courage to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.

Very pretty. I would do quilt as you go style using your periwinkle as a base. Then sew the white side pieces on. Can't wait to see yours!

It is a beautiful block. Very tempting, indeed!!!
This is how I would attempt it (if I did)
    1. Start with a 1.5" square of print fabric.
    2. Sew 1" strips on two adjacent sides, alternating in log cabin style.
    3. Once the square is 4.5", you can trim it.
    4. Now take a background square the same size as the pieced square and place them one on top of the other.
    5. Cut out the wedges onto adjacent sides.
    6. Switch the wedge fabrics, so that you have one center pieced triangle with background on either sides AND you also have one center background triangle with two pieced wedges another sides.
    7. Sew the skinny triangles to the center large triangle...and voila you have your block!!!

I know, it sounds like a lot of work.
