    Backing

How many inches do you add to your quilt back measurements to be quilted on a long arm?

Depends upon who is doing the quilting. Rule of thumb, 6 inches all the way around on backing and batting.

Ditto. That's what I like when I do a quilt.

Most times I leave 4" as I don't do much quilting. When I have a quilt done by someone else they require 8" larger in width and length.

Ask your longarmer. It depends on his/her setup and preferences. My longarmer likes 4" on each side, for a total of 8" larger than the top.
