    Default Diamond Periwinkle Quilt

At long last, I've finished the quilt for my Aunt. I'm calling it the Diamond Periwinkle Quilt. I snowballed the corners, which created diamonds in the center of all that negative space in between the Periwinkles. I love the way it turned out. Originally, the border was supposed to be the same pattern but on a tan background. I am SO GLAD my aunt changed her mind and chose the blue. Such a better choice as it just brings the quilt to life.

If you can't see it from 50 yards away on a galloping horse, it doesn't matter.

This is so beautiful. I love the fabrics used. And adding the snowball corners, great idea.

I love your quilt. Haven't made one yet because I did not like all the "negative" space either, but now you have given me a great idea to try.

Thanks for posting a pic and I agree, the border does bring it to life. So does the scalloped edge.

Now that it's all done another idea I had was to cut off the white corners, which would eliminate a LOT of the negative space and would result in rotating the periwinkles 90 degrees.

A very lovely quilt. I agree with you on the blue border.

That turned our great, Meli. I love the addition of diamonds in the center and the scalloped border!
