Until now I hadn't been a fan of the periwinkle quilt pattern. Yours is perfect with the snowballed corners. Very pretty quilt.

Your pattern alteration (snowballs) really made this into a more beautiful quilt! That must feel good. It is so lovely and the scalloped edge is such a wonderful addition as well. I'm sure your aunt is very pleased.

I love what you did with this pattern!
I had that pattern on my to-do list but just did not like all the negative space.
Awesome idea to snowball the corners!

    Wow! Thanks, everyone!
The quilting on it is VERY simple. Diagonally along the seams of the Periwinkles and then around each Periwinkle. The original plan was to do some loose quilting of the border, but my machine kept skipping threads. I may change needles and try it again. Or not. We'll see how I feel between now and Friday.
If you can't see it from 50 yards away on a galloping horse, it doesn't matter.

Seriously stunning. I'm swiping your snowball idea, just FYI :-)
