I spoke to several shop owners and someone doing a demo with them, and everyone of them said the gloves do not prevent you getting cut. They will slow it down so it may not be as bad, but that was about it. Seriously, invest in O'lipfa guards. I have had mine for nearly a year and I'll never be without them!

Those splints are great! (Except, when you're scheduled to work the BBQ fundraiser for the Boy Scouts and you have to wear those gloves!)

I was cutting fabric the other day and tipped my nail. Never found the nail, but was grateful that it didn't get the finger. My DH was shocked that I didn't cut myself.

    Hope you heal quickly.

I sliced my finger once when I was cutting. The first thing I thought of was I had better not have any blood on my fabric. My DH thought I lost my mind. I told him the finger would heal but I couldn't get any more of that fabric. He still thinks I am a little crazy . Now I keep bandaids close by. Keep your hand elevated it helps with the thumping pain. Hope it gets better real soon.

I did this in November and am only now able to use that finger. It still feels numb. Hope yours improves soon. Rotary cutters are lethal implements!
