The most quick, easy, and rewarding block to make is a kaledioscope block. Although the preparation for the block can be time consuming depending on whether you are doing the repeat matching as in "Stack and Whack" or another approach such as alternating solid colors or patterns, the assembly and stitching is very easy and each block is a surprise. It is great to have a new "gift" when each block is created. This reward increases as the blocks are assembled to make the desired finished project. No two are the same and every block is beautiful. The methods for making these blocks are also numerous so you can make the same block using multiple methods.... and you can find a block and a technique that you like the best!
