Thanks to everyone who weighed in on the red... I think the single red star worked out just like I had in my head. I did a double-size block for the back as well and did the binding in red. This quilt came from a mystery class I took and I believe the pattern is going to be published. My friend Paula did the quilting. Bonus: for the first time in my life, last night I slept under a quilt I made!
