Thumbs up How they make fabric at the Moda Fabric Factory

I did not realize the process of which fabric and cloth is designed and implemented. Pretty interesting. I thought I would share.

I need one of those "bolt roller" machines. I doubt, though, if comic book boards would work well with that.

I love watching how things are made (remember Mr. Rogers' picture picture?). I was fascinated by the resurgence of quilting around the bicentennial and the fact that Moda is still using the same mills. That explains the consistency of their fabrics.

The batik was very fascinating! I'm struck by the primitive nature of the process compared to the automation shown in the first video. I was also curious that the label says "cortesy of Moda", not courtesy.

Very fascinating. I had seen the batik one several times, that is an amazing process.
