Hubby is a policeman and the homeless go into the station lobby a lot to warm up when the weather is really bad. I sent him to work with 2 comforters for them.

I gave a comfort quilt to a friend who was forced to separate from her husband because of abuse. Not only did she take it everywhere with her, but she loaned it to an elderly friend who was in the hospital so she could have some comfort too. Little did I know how much that quilt, that was made as an afterthought from some extra fabric, would mean to so many people.

Mid January I donated 2 scrappy quilts to our local Warm Shelter along with coats and winter clothing. All were much needed with the winter we have been having.

I just finished a quilt for my older sister that she started but was unable to finish because of a stroke. She doesn't know that I have it by way of her husband

Hm, something good...there are a lot of big things out there, but the little things add up, too. I kissed my kids today, and fed them, and played with them, and changed diapers! And I put half of a border on a quilt...baby steps!
