    Ok, my 2 cents....I have just started using the Superior #50 thread. Love it , much less lint.

    I agree with Sylvia H. Different threads will give you different effects.

    My favorite for most quilting is Isacord embroidery thread. Any embroidery thread is fine, Isacord just happens to also have excellent consistency in my embroidery machines.

    Some embroidery thread is rayon, I do not use it, for anything! It does not hold it's color well over time.

    I like the quilting to be as inconspicuous as possible, but like Sylvia said if you ant it to show, use heavier thread.

    My absolute #1 all time favorite FMQ thread is silk #100, but it is too expensive to use in everything.

    And I think Sandy's "up the acronym" comment was her simply saying it was time to bump that thread back up to the top so people could read it.

    I used Superior King Tut for years but recently changed to Superior So Fine. Much less lint and thread breakage. Makes my FMQ and longarm quilting go so much faster.
