I love your new quilt. Love especially that you made it for someone so very special - YOU. I have to tell you that if you tire of it, I love it that much!! Me, I'd rush it into the washer, dry it and sleep under it before you forget how much it cost and how much you are worth it.

Carlie, you did a great job, especially for a first quilt. Love that color scheme. And nobody but you will see any booboos. It looks lovely.

I don't really think about what I have spent on a quilt. Throwing away the receipts helps with this. I recommend it as a strategy! But when I do worry about the cost I look at the prices of nice bedding at Company Store or wherever -- the materials don't seem so expensive, comparatively. And quilting is way better for my mental health than most things and that's a savings right there!

The colors in the quilt were all part of that Sunflower Journal series so I can't take much credit for how the combination looks together :-). I actually bought another charm pack of it because I thought it might look nice as placemats or table runner, not sure about a bag though. I just fell in love with that pack. Sunflowers always make me smile and that's darn nice in the winter with the snow and cold :-)

Wow, and that was your FIRST quilt? Boy, I am worse than I thought, lol! You did a really good job, not just on the sewing, but the pattern and the fabric choice.Well done, and I cant wait to see your second quilt!

Fantastic job and it sure doesn't look like a first quilt. The colors are warm and cozy and I like the lattice setting. Enjoy your new quilt.

Wash this beautiful quilt and enjoy it completely. You deserve it. It is gorgeous for colors and block and quilting. It will only tighten up if you will. It won't shrink-shrink. It might shrink a little but it won't go that small. Be sure to put up a after-wash picture for us to see.
