    Default Things to think about

    GOD CREATED CHILDREN
    (AND IN THE PROCESS, GRANDCHILDREN!)

To those of us who have children in our lives,
Whether they are our own, grandchildren,
    Nieces, nephews, or students...
Here is something to make you chuckle.

Whenever your children are out of control, you can take comfort from the thought that even God's omnipotence did not extend to His own children.

After creating heaven and earth, God created Adam and Eve.

And the first thing he said was 'DON'T! '

    'Don't what?' Adam replied.

'Don't eat the forbidden fruit.' God said.

'Forbidden fruit? We have forbidden fruit? Hey Eve..we have forbidden fruit! '

    ' No Way ! '
    'Yes way! '

'Do NOT eat the fruit! ' said God.

    'Why? '

'Because I am your Father and I said so! ' God replied, wondering
Why He hadn't stopped creation after making the elephants.

A few minutes later, God saw His children
Having an apple break and He was ticked!
'Didn't I tell you not to eat the fruit? ' God asked.

    'Uh huh,' Adam replied.

'Then why did you? ' said the Father.

    'I don't know,' said Eve.
'She started it! ' Adam said.

    'Did not! '
    'Did too! '
    'DID NOT! '

Having had it with the two of them, God's punishment was that Adam and Eve should have children of their own.
Thus the pattern was set and it has never changed.

If you have persistently and lovingly tried to give children wisdom
And they haven't taken it, don't be hard on yourself.

If God had trouble raising children, what makes you think
It would be a piece of cake for you ?

    THINGS TO THINK ABOUT !

    1. You spend the first two years of their life teaching them to walk and talk. Then you spend the next sixteen telling them to sit down and shut up.

    2. Grandchildren are God's reward for not killing your own children.

    3. Mothers of teens now know why some animals eat their young.

    4. Children seldom misquote you In fact, they usually repeat
Word for word what you shouldn't have said.

    5. The main purpose of holding children's parties
Is to remind yourself that there are children more awful than your own.

    6. We childproofed our homes, but they are still getting in

    ADVICE FOR THE DAY:

    Be nice to your kids..
They will choose your nursing home one day!

    AND FINALLY:

IF YOU HAVE A LOT OF TENSION AND YOU GET A HEADACHE,
DO WHAT IT SAYS ON THE ASPIRIN BOTTLE:

'TAKE TWO ASPIRIN' AND 'KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN'!!!!!
Sometimes, when there's a raging fire,
it's best not to try to put it out with gasoline.

This says it all. But most days my kids are the greatest kids in the world. They got even better when they had kids of their own. LOL
May the road rise up to meet you...
May the wind be always at your back...
May you be in Heaven a half hour before the Devil knows you're dead...

So true! I thank God that I don't have a "wild child"...give him a good book to read and you'll not hear a peep from him, even as an adult.

I am getting a big kick out of this one! Especially after spending the weekend with several grandkids whose favorite pastime is to go against their parents directives! We decided the youngest one is destined to become a lawyer! Always looking for loopholes and quite in tune with precident! Great lawyer qualities, quite maddening in a 7 year old!

Sandy How do you know my children and grandchildren. This did make me chuckle. My children are already looking for my Nursing home. My 6 year old grandson, if you tell him something you had better do it because he will hold you to it.

Thank you Sandy this is what I needed today.

    Hugs

Got a good laugh out of this one. I always tell my kids when they're having trouble with their kids (my perfect gkids) "Dont worry, they really will grow up and go away"

Sandy, got quite the laugh out of this! Though I have no Grands, I seriously think my four footed grandkids DO behave way better than kids-LOL! I actually think my admonishments of "Just wait til you have children of your OWN!!' Was the ONLY thing they listened too! LOL!

My sister has twin sons. When they were young and would complain about something the other one did she'd tell them "The only reason it bothers you is the very same reason it bothers him when you do the same thing."

That is too funny and oddly, on point. As for children choosing nursing homes for their parents - my oldest son laughingly (thank goodness) once told me that I wasn't going into a nursing home. He would put a recliner in his garage and get me a TV set without a remote control. Said he figured getting up and changing the channels was likely to be the only exercise I would get. ha!

Actually, I've been blessed with two wonderful sons who are constantly telling me I spend too much on their kids. I told him if he bothered to check the definition of grandma in the dictionary he would see where it states in bold letters: SPOILER OF GRANDCHILDREN.

Thanks for this post, Sandy. I believe I will be passing it on two my sons!
