    Thank you everyone. I have a lot more pics I can share. I'll hve to check out the gallery and see how to add my pics there.

    The hotpads- the quilt block is 6 1/2" with the borders added it becomes approx 8" finished.

    the bookmarks are approx 2" x 7" tho they do vary a bit depending on what I use for the design.

    I will be sharing my Piece and Cut method soon.

    Basically it means you sew pieces of fabric together in the steps I describe depending on the block we are making and then you cut a square out of the center with a template. this makes for an easy accurate already pieced square. that way you get small pieces without handling small pieces.

    This is the Boston Block shortcut I usually start out teaching as it is easy to see the steps
    I have about 10 different "blocks" or pieced squares. They also make it easy to create interesting designs.

    Then you use the Boston Block to sew them into a quilt block
