Besides that leaves more fabric for me! :P

If you're a mother with young kids, like me, it's a wonderfully creative thing you can do a little bit at a time. Then at the end, you have this beautiful quilt you can display in your home or put on your kids beds, or anything you want. Plus, it's addictively fun to shop for fabric!

Joy! Pure JOY! From the collecting of fabric and patterns, to the tiny little seams, to watching the pieces come together, to seeing someone snuggle down when you are finished....the whole process is pure joy!

Why should you learn to quilt??!!?? My dear girl just come over here and feel this material. It's quality stuff. Now feel this...it's squares of an old flannel sheet. Look over here...looks like flowers were made here doesn't it....well, when you put together your first quilt with new or old materials, then stand back and look at what you created...you will want to do more. Not only are these a piece of art work, they are also a piece of you. Every stitch you make by machine or hand is a little piece of your heart. Making a quilt for your daughter or son's wedding gift, a piece of you wishing them happiness in the years to come. Making a small baby quilt for the new grandchild is a labor of love...a bit of grandma given to the new precious life.

That is why I quilt and that is why most quilters quilt.....love....

Not any good at drawing or painting but wished you could do something creative to add to your home?!? Then you should definitely try quilting! You don't have to be a Van Gogh or Picasso to create your own masterpiece! TRUST ME

The biggest draw for me is that quilting is so relaxing. I find that I "zone out" and all my cares and stress just disappear. And it is so much fun playing with all that fabric, the colors, the patterns, and at the end having something functional as well as beautiful is just the icing on the cake!
