Default Help With Mystery Quilt Blocks

    Howdy!

I introduced myself yesterday - I'm in PA with 2 bins full of fabric that's at least 20 years old and some mystery quilt squares and I have no idea what pattern I was intending to create. These are 4-5 different squares that I'm guessing are to be joined together to make something really pretty.

Is there a website out there somewhere that I can go to that shows different squares and the different ways they can be used to create different patterns?

Maybe I can figure out what I was trying to make.

Try google image and search for square, four patch etc.etc. Then you have lots of picture and some of them might spark a memory or two.

    Good luck

If anyone is interested, these are the blocks.

They are "finished" blocks because I've trimmed them all, so the ones with only 2 corners or only 3 corners appear to be specifically left that way. I have no idea what pattern I was trying to use and I didn't find any books in the bins with the fabrics.

I'm thinking that the quilt blocks may have been intended to be set on point as I also found cut triangles the same size as the blocks in the off-white marble fabric.

Sorry I don't have an answer, but I like the fabrics and welcome to the forum.

Just in case anyone else is asking the same thing that I was -- a site with bunches of quilt blocks -- I did find this:

The Quilter's Cache - Marcia Hohn's free quilt patterns!

    ... and this:

FREE Library of Quilt Block Patterns from McCall's Quilting

    ... and this:

So far, no luck on my blocks but I just found the sites.

It looks like the pieces to a quilt I did for my GM years ago called Around the Twist. Round the Twist, a Celtic Twist Quilt Block Pattern or https://www.google.com/search?q=arou...0CCsQsAQ&dpr=1

OK, I've posted 2 posts to this thread that contained links and they apparently have to be approved by a moderator before they show up.

I don't know how long that normally takes!

Here's your chance to make up and name a new pattern.

I'm still missing a post from this thread that I posted shortly after Kathy did. I can't remember exactly what I said except THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to Kathy because that has to be it.

While looking around I also found this and it's available for a free download -- it's very similar to what I guess I was making except that my triangle pieces are solid instead of pieced like it shows in this pattern.
