    Default Jelly roll gone wrong

I decided to make a jelly roll quilt. I cut out my own strips and away I went sewing them. When I finished it came out long enough but oh so narrow. I did not want to take the time to add borders around it so I got mad and got out my 5 inch tumbler and cut away. Now just need to see what I want to do with them.

I like your thinking. Maybe pair them with white tumblers. This will surely be a pretty quilt.

Sure is a lot of mad, but it will be interesting to see what you do with them. There are beautiful fabrics in it, don't give up!

May be a little bit late since you've started cutting, but your skinny jelly roll really would have made a lovely bed runner!

Well that is one way to recycle something that disappointed you! Wow, you really are going to have some serious work ahead of you with all those tumblers. I think a white, cream or even black alternating tumbler might be the contrast you're looking for. Good luck and keep us posted on your "Tumber Tales".

Really cool how you displayed your quilt on the back of the door . If I can ask what did you use at the top to hold
it on the door. I am looking for some way to have a display wall in a limited area and about the only free space I have is the back of the door.

I think good things are going to come from those tumblers! If you think it will look too busy, add them up with a matching solid and it will be a background , or, add a solid strip between the tumbler rows and that will accent your fabric! So many possibilities, and your quilt will be bigger.
When I did a jelly roll race, I added a charm pack to it as a four patch, and it added size and broke up the quilt nicely. Just a thought for the next time. Please post a pic of what you finally did with your pretty tumblers. Cant wait to see it.
