    Default "Feathered" Christmas Tree

A friend of mine made the Christmas Tree quilt below. She has a long-arm machine, but she is still learning. When I saw the beautiful quilt, I told her it needed feathers in the boughs. She was stymied! She said she couldn't do that, so I offered to do it for her. I think it turned out beautifully, and I can't wait to see it after she finishes doing her meandering on the background. What do you think?

I pray when risen from the dead before the Lord I stand; perhaps a crown upon my head, but with a needle in my hand.

It's beautiful! You did a wonderful job. What kind of fabric is it?

I call it 'ombre' because it goes from dark to light. The green as well as the blue background.

I meant if it was satin or something . It looks shiny.
