Not a problem. I do understand there ARE people who don't understand a really tight budget. $800 a month doesn't go very far.

Now wouldn't that make for a nice birthday gift! I cannot afford it but am envious of those who can save and go. Have a wonderful time.

Blessed are the children of the piecemakers for they shall inherit the quilts!

Everybody who gets to go, have fun! I have never been on a cruise. If I ever get to go, (probably when I win the lottery) I would love to go on an Alaskan cruise - during the summer! Not the winter!

Yes it does. With my birthday being one week before the cruise, I will be putting money on my request for birthday gifts. I will turn 62 that year. If only I could retire early. Now that would be a present.

Now that would be fun, but it's not for me, unfortunately. Seasickness ruined my last trip and I can't face it again. I will have to attend a Jenny class on dry land - someday, I hope.

I love cruising and I'm single too, but it doesn't scare me to go alone. There are some cruises that have a really small (or zero) single supplement.

Karen, you should go out when the ship is in port! It's fun to shop at the port shops and then eat nearby. Go to cruisecritic.com and read the forums there. Besides I'm sure you'll find a fellow quilter to pal around with.

This sounds like so much fun. Going to look over the budget and see if I can save enough.

I think you are right. I do not need to go far, but its nice to talk a bit of a walk. I love talking to the people of different countries. And of course I love shopping. I do hope I make a few cruise friends while on the cruise.
