    That looks great! And thanks for sharing the idea of cutting the backing off.

    The only time I have had major shifting on a quilt was when I used a different batting. I do believe it was the batting and I bought an entire bolt of the stuff! It is soft. I had spray basted and heat set the basting afterwards and made sure everything was flat. I had some many areas where the top shifted that I had pleats and I tried to make them look like seams. The back stayed flat. I also used the walking foot that came with the machine. The only difference was the batting.

    So glad your solution worked for you.
