I swear by bleach for many things, especially keeping coffee mugs/cups sparkling clean.

I keep Clorox Cleanup on hand at all times. Not only does it clean cups so fast, it shines any stainless steel to brilliant! Use it on my sinks and fridge. Love it! Hugs, Jan L.

In a bit of a rush this morning, so if anyone else posted this tip, sorry for the repeat, but . . . it's as simple as putting about a quarter to a half teaspoon of oxy-clean (I use the store brand version called Sun, cheaper and just as effective) in the mug and fill with the hottest tap water you can get. Wait 15 minutes or so and just wipe clean. No scrubbing (if you are patient and wait the fifteen minutes! haha). They will come sparkling clean.

Where would I find this Bar Keeper's Friend? I hadn't heard of this product before but wouldn't mind trying it.

Made me think of the time we had 10 year old grandson in our car and DH was grumbling about having to wait a long time to make a left turn, I told DGS that Grandpa is a very impatient person and he replied, "We're an impatient family." How true, LOL!

haven't taken the time to read the responses here but I always use baking soda. Small spoonful, some warm water, swish and voila!

I love bar keepers friend for so many things! If you can't find it at your local supermarket try Walmart. Right by the other powered cleansers like comet.

Found Barkeepers Friend in supermarket! Shook a little onto a wet sponge and used it to wipe out the inside of our mugs and viola, the mugs are sparkling clean!

Alka Selsor tablets in water will work or white vinegar soak, then wash in hot, soapy water/cold water rinse.....
