NC sayin's from my mama n' daddy, a reminder, lest I forget:
~I’m gonna tan your hide. (You’re about to get a whoopin’.)
~set yourself down a spell ~~every day of the week n' twice on Sundays
~knock you clean into next week n' then some ~~deader than a door nail
~can't get blood from a turnip ~~your neck o'the woods
~You're just playing possum (pretendin' to be asleep when you didn't want to get up n' go to school)
My next 2 project that are underway are rag quilts for my son and daughter. Both want owls. Needless to say they want them by Christmas. Oh my but that not very far away. Wish me luck, and speed.
I just finished 6 ornaments so I covered Christmas already :-) But I had done some piecework for Christmas last year that never got done so that needs doing before this Christmas. But what I really started working on is my first lap quilt out of the Sunflower Journal and that has golds, greens and browns so maybe that would be autumn! But I have several smaller projects that I want to make for my two sisters for Christmas in between, I'd like to mail each one a tote and minky scarf that coordinates....hummmmm guess that puts me back into Christmas
Christmas table runners at moment. Once I have finished all my halloween parties for students, I pack away all thed ecorations and am happy not to see another pumpkin . I do have the burlap solid though to make the lovely leaf quilt, but I guess that will be a project to get ready for next fall. Only 6 weeks left till Christmas.
